No, our petals are not frozen — Although the name suggests otherwise, they’re freeze-dried, a gentle preservation process that removes moisture only while locking in the natural shape and colour of each rose and hydrangea petal. In fact, it’s often hard to tell the difference between freeze-dried petals and fresh ones.
While the petals are dried, they remain soft to the touch, and over time, they’ll become even softer as they adjust to ambient temperatures — but unlike fresh petals, They won’t wilt, making them perfect for weddings, events, and styling — with no time pressure and none of the stress of last-minute prep.

Each of our premium freeze-dried petal packs contains approximately 12 cups (around 3 litres) — the equivalent of a standard baker’s dozen cup size and equivalent to approximately 12 roses depetalled. This is enough for around 20 guests to throw confetti,

We recommend placing your order as early as possible to secure your preferred petal colour and quantity, especially during popular wedding and event seasons. Because our petals are freeze-dried and long-lasting, we’re able to keep stock on hand — so we can often accommodate last-minute orders too.
To keep your petals at their freshest colour, we typically send them out around two weeks before your event so they arrive with time to spare.

The number of rose petals you’ll need for an aisle decoration depends on several factors, including the style you're aiming for, the size of the area, and whether the aisle is indoors or outdoors (considering a breeze).
As a general guide, 1 pack of our Aisle Petals will cover approximately:
8 square metres for a scattered look
4 square metres for light coverage
2 square metres for a dense, full-petal effect
These estimates are based on our experience with real wedding setups and we hope they can help you plan accordingly.

There’s no right or wrong number — it’s entirely up to you and how you’d like to share the moment. From our experience, couples often order around 40 petal cones, but this can vary depending on your guest list and wedding style.
Some wedding organisers choose to share petal cones on seats along the aisle or reserve them for guests in the front rows, ensuring those closest to the couple are ready to join in the confetti moment. Others opt to make petal cones available to a larger group or every guest attending the ceremony.
Whether you offer a few or many, it’s the shared joy of the moment that makes it truly memorable.

One pack of our premium freeze-dried rose or hydrangea petals will fill approximately 20 of our petal cones — (two packs of petal cones).
Our petal cones measure around 29cm high and 8cm wide at the opening, offering a handful of petals per guest. They arrive ready-assembled, so all that’s left to do is fill them with petals before your celebration.
Please note: petal cone packs do not include petals, so please be sure to order the petals separately.

While we can’t guarantee an exact delivery time — especially if there are disruptions due to natural weather events — we’ll always do our very best to make it happen. If you're in a hurry, get in touch and we’ll do everything we can to help.

While other providers may offer slightly cheaper rates, they often lack the high level of consistency and care we require at Church Confetti. With NZ Post, your parcel stays within their trusted network from dispatch to delivery — it isn’t passed between third parties — giving you greater peace of mind and us greater confidence that your important petals will arrive on time and in perfect condition. To keep deliveries smooth and contact-free, we also opt for the ‘no signature required’ option — as we rely on each customer’s existing arrangement with their local NZ Post delivery service.
For time-sensitive occasions, we also offer an Express Overnight upgrade using the same trusted NZ Post courier service—Express service.
